AMERICAN HABILITATION SERVICES' RESPONSE TO HURRICANES

Prior to the start of each year's Hurricane Season, AHS updates its disaster response program, sets up emergency shelter contracts and renews transportation agreements. While no one can predict what a major storm will do, we strive to always be ready.

When a storm is threatening Texas, the AHS Emergency Response Team stays in constant contact with all of its sites and local/State Emergency Management systems. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful assistance of the many County and municipal employees who have been so helpful during past crises. We are also indebted to our remarkable staff for their willingness to stay with those they serve during these extremely stressful times.
